Post subject: Who is John Kerry??? |
  |
|
I've heard a lot of people asking, "Who is John Kerry?" and "What does he stand for?" For those still curious, here's an interesting article from the NY Times. It's a bit of background information, mostly about his experiences in Vietnam and his reasons for protesting against the war.

Of course it is worthless. I mean, who in their right mind would actually believe a publication as discredited and irreputable as the New York Times. I mean it's not like they're the Washington Post or sometrhing. What is wrong with you Andrew?

It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up, and it's well worth it. Then you could read the article for yourself and form an educated opinion about it.

Educated, of course, meaning "agreeing with Andrew"

Not really. At the very least, you have to have read an article in order to form an educated opinion about it. When someone dismisses an article they have not even read, I can hardly respect their opinion, as it is based on ignorance.

Well Andrew how can you lose respect for them, it depends on the source of information. If you post an article from the Times, I am a lot less likely to read it, knowing that it is biased, left winged trash. And if you post something from Mad Magazine using that as a source of information, I wouldn't read it at all because that isn't a proper source of information and therefore would dismiss it without even looking at it. Now if you post the same story but from both Fox News and the Times, then I will look at it because if the same story is reported from opposing sides of politics, then it has crediblity.

Well that sounds just a bit condescending. Assumption, it's what's for dinner at TigerU!
