Could it be a Mark Spitz of our generation? Michael Phelps in the 2004 Olympics. He rules the world, breaking world records left and right, is there this much talent in one person? It is said that he can't do it because each event takes a certain perfection and a swimmer is lucky to take home 2 individual golds for seperate events. If he can make his 7, he will be the greatest swimmer alive. What do y'all think? I am a believer in Michael Phelps 2004!

God Damn...Our 4 by 100 free style Relay got shot down by South Africa. However, in POrtland, Maine's Ian Crocker hadn't gone so slow, maybe we would have one gold, oh well, Michael Phelps can only win 7 gold medals now.

Welcome: This is officially my swimming commentary forum/ Olmypic commentary forum. Currently, Our swimmers are doing well for the exception of the 100 freestyles, where Ian Crocker and Jason Lezak have had some dissapointing swims. However Michael Phelps has won 1 gold and 2 bronze; he has medalled in all his events thus far. He has to 200 fly next and is currently #1 in the World in that event. Yesterday, Phelps raced Ian Thrope of Australia and Pieter van den Hoogenband of the Netherlands, in the 200 freestyle and placed third. This was one hell of a race to watch. Phelps still can medal 8 times in this Olympics. Of course in 4 years when he is 23 years of age and more muscularly matured, he will go for it again and will probably achieve his goal of 8 gold medals in the 2008 Olympics.

Congratulations to our Mens 800 m. Free style Relay, they won gold!!! Michael Phelp's 5th medal thus far. Ian Thorpe, AKA the Thropedo, couldn't do it for the Aussies, this was one hell of a final, some say the best race in the Olympics thus far. In other news, Phelps won the 200 M. butterfly (my event). He rules the pool with 3 gold and 2 bronze medals.
In Gymnastics, our ladies and men both won silver. That is the best men'sm team this country has put together. The Hamm brothers lead the team with their consistency and excellence. Paul Hamm along with two other ladies qualified for the individual all around, which will be shown later this week.
Watch some great talents compete, WATCH THE OLYMPICS!!!!
