The funny thing is that there is an urban legend that a voodo queen put a curse on the Saints because of their name, and as long as the team is called the Saints it will never win the playoffs ever!
That aside. The owner of the Saints is asking way way way too much money for a team that makes it to the playoffs once every 2 or 3 years. And normaly looses to the 1st playoff game. It would be like LSU paying Denardo, if he was still head coach, the same millions of dollars of money they paid Saban.
That's not counting the ,unoficial, amount of organized crime sorrounding the Saints. Loosing the saints will hurt not hurt New Orleans economy as much as keeping them will. The Saints have now become a sort of joke on ESPN not for their record but for the ridiculous amounts of money the state shells out to keep the team in New Orleans.
P.S. Look at the Hornets; New Orleans paid a lot of money to bring the team to Louisiana and they have one of the worst records in the NBA.
