KATHLEE HENNIGAN'S (DIRECTOR OF CONSUMER COMPLIANCE AT THE LOUISIANA INSURANCE DEPARTMENT) DAUGHTER IS MISSING. HER PICTURE IS SHOWN ABOVE. THE AUTHORITIES BELIEVE THAT SHE WAS ABDUCTED BY AN INTERNET PREDATOR. SHE WAS DISCOVERED MISSING AT AROUND 6:00AM ON FEBRUARY 2, 2005. SHE WAS LAST KNOWN TO BE IN HER ROOM AT MIDNIGHT. SHE LEFT OR WAS LURED AWAY SOMEWHERE BETWEEN MIGNIGHT AND 6:00AM. SHE IS 5'5" 140 LBS, HAS BLUE EYES AND DARK BLONDE HAIR. SHE IS 13 YEARS OLD.
KATHLEE AND HER FAMILY NEED HELP. PLEASE SEND THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK AND ASK YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO POST THIS PICTURE IN AS MANY PLACES AS POSSIBLE. THE POLICE HAVE PUT OUT AN AMBER ALERT BUT WE ARE HAVING TROUBLE GETTING NATIONAL PRESS ON THIS. PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO HELP US CIRCULATE THIS PICTURE AND DESCRIPTION.

i wonder how the national press decides whether or not to show stuff like this. I can imagine that stuff like this does happen all the time, but it's strange that only 1 or 2 ever get the national press that they deserve. I can remember all the hoopla surrounding elizabeth smart, and the news coverage was a huge help in finding her, and getting her back safely. And then there was the college student up north (in some state that starts with a W  ) who got all the press, and in the end, it was a hoax.
I wonder if it has to be a slow news day for them to cover something like this. I mean, flipping through news stations right now, MSNBC has some crap about super bowl commercials, cnn has some crap about internet phone usage, and fox has something about a kid who had an ebay auction so he could get a medical procedure done. Is that stuff REALLY important 
on a side note, I really need the shirt that she is wearing. I could really use that at work...

Just an F.Y.I. for all of you... I received the following this morning:
FYI...............................................Kathlee's daughter has been located alive in Texas. She is in the custody of authorities in Texas. This is all we know at this time.

I know I'm glad that she was found. One of my students was friends with her and was really upset about her leaving a note saying she was running away to go meet that guy.

Ya think she might have been going to meet someone who goes by the name 2hot4u?
Also I wonder if they like threw sandwiches down to lead her outside and get her in the car. Maybe they just promised her a buffet.
