Yeah, i still like the old one but I think the new one was more well-rounded. I loved Charlie in this one. The old charlie kind of annoyed me a bit.

DITTO!!!! Actually, all the kids from the original annoyed the hell out of me.
Only thing I hated was the british accents in both movies - made me want to just strangle them.
For some reason, british accents annoy the hell out of me - just thinkin bout it makes me annoyed lol.
But yea....this version kicked the first one's ass!

Burton and Depp continue to amaze me. Depp is a really versatile actor..after I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I wanted to see Pirates again. The man made the movie!
Also, could Charlie be even more adorable? That kid was too cute! Reminded me of that little boy on James and the Giant Peach! They always get the cutest kids for those Dahl book movies!!

well, Aim-Z, if you really like Charlie, you should watch "Finding Neverland" Johnny Depp liked working with Freddy Highmore so much in that movie, he told Tim Burton he should cast him as Charlie.

damn, that was a good movie. The musical numbers were HILARIOUS. Johnny Depp was a little too much like Michael Jackson at times which was not a good thing at all. I went into the movie thinking, i've seen this movie before, how much different can it be, but it was great.
musical numbers...f'n great.
