It was average. Compared to the other two new ones it was spectacular, but in all, it was average.
There was two much love story and not enough vader. I wanted to see the rise of Vader, not just the creation of.

Yep, they need to do III.5... I really want to see Bobba Fett kick some jedi butt.. I mean after all, that's how he became the famous.

Don't you mean Episode III.V ?
I liked it, there were some plot holes that annoyed me but overall it was fantastic to me considering I went in expecting to see more Clone Wars and The Phantom Menace.

I have a concern. How come it took about 20 years to build the first Death Star, but only 4 to have the second fully operational?

I've had this discussion about why it would take so long for the first Death Star. There are any number of theories but I think that either there were a lot of technical (and possible financial) issues that arose that they didn't take into account so they just kept having problem after problem for 19 years and then they finally finished it. Just like the construction at the 10-12 split.
also, there may have been an inordinate amount of sabotage due to the upstart rebellion.
Or, and I think this is it, they just got better at building death stars by the time Return of the Jedi was happening. The rebels were probably thinking "Oh, they're building another death star. Well, it took them about 20 years to finish the first one so they'll get this one done in 15, maybe 10 years"
And the Empire says "Bastards. No one will suspect we had it shipped pre-fab from Singapore"
and that's why it only took four years.

Or it could possibly be learning curve... after building one, they know how to rebuild... also I dont think the 2nd death star was complete, right?
Consider this.. Han Solo says he did that Cattleman's Run or whatever it's called in so many parsects (sp) after he said his ship was fast. Parsects is a distance measure, not time.
Both could be just a screw up.

Or maybe George Lucas didn't take that into account when he made Episode 3. Just like the rapid aging of Obi-Wan, Uncle Owen, and Aunt Beru in between films. Erin pointed that out at the theater.
By the way, have y'all seen the DVD trilogy where they use young Anakin as the spirit at the end of Return of the Jedi instead of the fat white guy? That freaked me out.

Yeah Landon, that's what I meant when I said "they got better at building death stars"
anyway about the spirit at the end, it makes no sense to use Hayden Christainsen as the spirit at the end of ROTJ when Obi-Wan looks like he did when he died. Anakin should look like he did when he died.
right?
