Post subject: KAZAA LITE K++ WTF? |
  |
|
OK, so I have been having several computer problems as of late, therefore I decided to install XP service pack #2 along with getting rid of 3 viruses. I have run chkdsk, adaware, spybot:search and destroy, disk cleanup, Norton virus scans, and finally disk defrag. My computer seems to be working great, however I cannot run Kazaa K++ now that I installed service pack #2 because I get an error everytimeI try to run it. The only other small thing is when I click on My documents and try to type a webpage from there in the searchbar, it creates another error. If anyone can help that would be great, I really want my KAZAA K++ BACK!!!

Fuck downloading individual songs.
Learn how to use Bit Torrent, and download the bit tornado program from www.bittornado.com
instal it.
get a program called winrar, or izarc from download.com to extract some files that come zipped.
go to www.suprnova.com and www.hypertorrent.com and start downloading full albums and discographys. and movies, programs, tv shows, everything else.

It seems I've got bittorrent and soulseek confused. Soulseek is the one you have to rub elbows in.

bit torrent is great. Some sites do want you to register and keep a ratio and generally do things you might not want to do, but then other sites are great about letting you leach all you want. The great thing about bit torrent is that you can always keep looking for other sites that have what you want. But what we really need to do is get some one in the dorms to run an engine so that all LSU people can share amongst ourselves better, and not use out going campus bandwidth.

If you haven't already, uninstall service pack 2. It gives a significant droop in performance if you install it on an existing windows installation. Wait until SP2 comes builtin to windows. better yet, don't install it at all.
I'm not here to argue. So don't tell me there's nothing wrong SP2. Just giving mine and other's experience.
The new firewall and virus protection in SP2 is fucking up Kazaa. uninstall SP2 and kazaa lite, reboot, and reinstall Klite

blue screens? like driver conflicts or hardware failures?
well... I would suggest a windows reinstall, but not everyone wants to do that.
uninstall SP2 and see if you still get blue screens. and also see if Kazaa lite works. If not, reinstall kazaa lite.

Download what you want. If the technology is there use it. If you like a band then support them.
