im going to be a freshman in the fall and i need someone to room with. im a female 17 (will be 18 in may) and i get along with almost anyone. im going to live in evangaline(i think thats how you spell it). if your interesed please let me know!

My suggestion would be not to get some random person you don't know from jack as a roomate ... but then I'm picky as all hell when it comes to people I share my living space with 
Even if its getting to know someone online first and then moving in with them ... that's better than just random people you don't know ... especially guys

If you're living in Evangeline then you can check with Res Life to see if they could assign a roommate to you maybe? And yeah, it'd have to be a female since that's a girls dorm (last I checked) also, even if it was a co-ed dorm I don't think boys and girls are roomies just yet.
I need to get James Brown or someone else from LSU Residential Life on here to address some of these questions when they come up.
