I guess I missed out on all this drama. Oh well, I've seen plenty of boo-hooing in my time and it's still boring, but at least I can throw a little fuel on the fire on here. I love being an ass. Sorry you feel that way, Brandi. I'm just trying to set the record straight, clear up any rumors that may still be floating around. I'm growing tired of dealing with a couple of immature people who are bored at work and have nothing better to do than spread rumors about people they don't even know. I'm just being honest and straightforward. Which of those qualities makes me an asshole? To which part of my post do you object? Let's be specific here. If you think I'm saying something out of line, tell me. Name-calling doesn't really do any of us any good.

I suspect you're right about Phil. He seemed to have a problem with me from the beginning. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't really matter anyway.
Ah, more name-calling. I'll say the same thing to you that I said to Brandi. Just what is it I said or did that you find objectionable? Instead of just being rude and insulting, be specific. That would be much more constructive.
As far as smearing my reputation, good luck. A person who would actually believe your rumors is seriously lacking in maturity, and I am not really concerned with such a person's opinion. Fortunately, I don't think you have much credibility with many of my friends, or with many of the people on this website. Most of them are good, reasonable people. Most of them shy away from gossip and rumors, and like to avoid this type of overblown drama. So far as I can tell, there are only a few exceptions (out of the people I've actually met, that is).

Well Andrew, since i so quickly got looped in with Andrea and Phil on your hate list, let me clarify why I think you are an asshole.
(1) You assume a lot of stuff. How do you know Andrea and Phil are spreading rumors? What rumors are they? All Andrea did was tell her side of the story, just like you did. It's not a rumor, it's how she saw it.
(2) You think Phil can use mind control on us. You go as far as saying that he has brainwashed Allison to dislike you AND to say that he has gotten "us" (Brigid's friends) to avoid her. I want to know who told her we were avoiding her, because that certainly is NOT the case. In my defense, I would love to sepnd more time with Brigid, but our work schedules conflict (I work 8-4:30 and she works 4-10 most of the time). I would hope Brigid (a girl whom I consider a sister to me) would believe RUMORS of this sort.
(3) You are telling me that me calling you an asshole "doesnt really do any of us good". What good does you calling Andrea and Phil...I'm sorry, I mean "a couple of people" immature? How are they immature? They are just defending themselves like you are, although I don't see why you feel the need to do so if you are "not really concerned" with a person's opinion.
(4)Sometimes, you come off as being really judgmental.

All I can say is WTF? That hurts man. I don't care who that was directed to, but who do you think you are to come out and accuse people of being bad friends? It just baffles me how you come out and you sound really positive about the bullshit you are spewing. I think it is Brigid's decison to pick and choose her friends AND to say who are good/bad ones. Until SHE comes out and calls anyone a bad friend, you have no place to do so. And even then (like when you called her mother ALL possible names under the sun), you still don't have a right do degrade someone like you just did. Freedom of speech, yes. But just like you don't want rumors and slander being spoken about you, I don't think other want it done to them either.
I think that's fine for now.

You are right, and what followed that, concerning me, was based, as always, on an assumption. I'll deal with that when I have more than 10 minutes.
Looking past your umpteenth "Phil, I think you are..." argument, I finally get your perspective on things. That's all I needed. The rest is just an opinion, one of many, and judging by the number of responses from people, somewhat wrong. Brigid knows who I am more than 90 percent of the people on here. I have opened up to her more than almost anyone. She knows that I wouldn't throw away a friendship with her. Me immature eh? Heh, ok bub. Whatever you think ^_^

Perhaps you have never completely appreciated the art of writing. The objective is not to beset your audience with exorbitant, artistical flourishes, but rather to craft your message in a way which best suits the particular group to which you write. It is quite apparent that you have never fully comprehended this most ponderous detail.
Our current audience is not comprised of scholars, but rather of ordinary individuals. Therefore I find it best not to inundate them with ornate language. Always remember that a good writer writes to the audience, not to flaunt a supposed talent which he or she may harbor.
