Autumn is not without its tradition though, and looking past Halloween and haunted houses, you’ll discover a party that’s truly not like anything you’ve experienced. Imagine all the history and booze of Mardi Gras but with enough suspenders to suspend belief. It’s an odd party with an odd history.
Attended by millions from all over the globe, The Munich Oktoberfest is the largest German “Volksfest” (folk festival) promising the world’s biggest good-time affair. It happens on the “Theresienwiese” with huge beer tents and buxom brat-eating Bavarian beer babes serving the precious brew in large steins, and Bavarian bands play polka-esque drinking songs.
