I'm toying with the idea of growing a beard, and I thought I'd ask the general public what their thoughts on beards are.
So, please vote and/or comment, I'd appreciate some input.

Beards are too feminine for the average heterosexual male to pull off correctly.

Well at least he can grow a beard...some of us are left with "patches." Then again, I would rather deal with that then be some woolly mammoth...

Beards are cool if they make you look unapproachable.

I always expected this to be a message I started..
I have the goatee right now. It seems to have gone over well.
And yes, Richard, Beards are a good mask for double chins.

I can't stand a beard because of the way it feels- it's just not for me, but it all depends on what you want.
If you can pull it off or feel comfortable with it, then go for it.

Brandon - if you had just told me you didn't like the way it felt I would have shaved it off for you.
What have I been saying all this time about communication!?!

Sorry, I just couldn't find it in my heart to make you feel inadequate. It's really okay, you don't need to shave the beard off.

I enjoy my beard.
You just have to keep it trimmed. Shaggy beards look horrible.
However, as soon as a certain picture gets uploaded, there will probably be a topic concerning if I should shave or not.

I agree with Nifty. Goatees are super hot. Especially on dark haired guys. Beards....not so much.
