Ok Landon since you have degrees in accounting and finance I think I might enlist your help when tax time rolls around. Since i travel for work a lot I get to itemize lots of things and I like to get as much out of Uncle Sam as I possibly can. Usually I do a pretty good job of putting the screws to him myself but I figure you might know a few other tricks I can pull out of the bag. Think you can help me? btw if i'm caught I would take full responsibility for my actions.

Sounds like repatriation to me. Who paid for your travel, you or the company? If you paid for anything while you were on a job and were not reimbursed, you can take that as an itemized deduction. The problem with itemized deductions is that before they start actually affecting your taxes, the total has to be above your standard deduction (which will be around 4900 next year).

While I cant actually do your tax return, I can help you. Let me know when you're ready. How old are you, BTW?

I'm 28 and trust me I can come up with more than $4900 in deductions.
