Whatever, but anyway, just found out they cancelled it. There're turning 5 star into a piano bar.  I was goin cause my friend invited me. I like D.J Trashy and Baby Anne better anyway.

They aren't folding, they never have.
It has been under the same ownership since it opened as Triple A forever ago.
They are changing style to appeal more to the comedy crowd. When you have 200 - 300 (394: new club record, last time i was on stage there /cheap plug) people there, spending money, then 85-90% of them leave at 10:30 you have a problem.

It is the new thing. They finally realized that you can get a more adult crowd who would like to go out to a bar, but who don't want to hear techno or rap music so loud you have to scream to talk.
People want a place to go and have a few drinks after work or hang out on the weekend without a bunch of 18 year old kids, laser lights and smoke machines.
You have an older crowd who will spend more, the atmosphere isn't usually thought of with drug use or young punks starting fights. You don't have the liability of underage drinking, and binge drinking. Sounds good to me.
