Ya know, some of you people are full of shit. Pull your heads out of your asses for two seconds and think about this. There is absolutely nothing the police can do. There is no way to prove who wrote that post (yeah, you all know the one I'm talking about). Even if there was, there's no way to prove that it wasn't edited. Sure, they locked the topic, but it sat there for a while first. And everyone on this site knows that there are several people (admins and moderators) who have a history of tampering with posts just for kicks. Besides, even if you could prove who wrote it (and it's obvious who some of you suspect: the same person you suspect of everything that goes wrong with this site), and that it was not edited, the post simply was not illegal. It's obviously satire. And, if you're a complete idiot and you actually took it seriously, it still isn't an illegal post. It's not illegal to claim to have done something illegal if you didn't actually do it. If John Doe tells a friend he robbed a bank, and if word about the confession gets back to the cops, they might investigate (but Baton Rouge cops are lazy as shit, so probably not). When they realize that no bank was actually robbed that day, they'll drop it. The confession was a lie, and it's not illegal to lie. There are exceptions, of course, such as the classic "shouting 'fire' in a crowded theater." That's an exception because it could cause a panic and get people hurt. The post in question here poses no such immediate threat to anyone. You have the right to be offended, if you think it was in bad taste. But (whine and bitch all you want) it's not illegal, and there's nothing the cops can or will do about it.

We all know who some people will suspect it is. But, on second thought, these posts don't contain too many big words, do they? Well, maybe for some of you... But that fellow is reputed (oops, more than two syllables) to carry a thesaurus with him always, right?

it seems like a way to talk the moderators from turning in the thread to the police, and anyways, if he wanted to find out who you are he could trace it back to the e-mail u used to post and find the IP Address used.

Hey Andrew and Brigid, since you guys are so great at english, I have a paper due next week can you look at it? How about if I e mail it to you, can you tell me how many points I will get taken off? You do have a REALLY hard grading scale though.

Everyone knows i hate you, and would bitch slap you if you ever came up to me in person, but i actually agree with you on this one.
I said from the start it was satire and sarcasm used to point out the screaming idiocy in other posts in the original thread. My shouting fire in a crowded place reference was part of another discussion in that that thread.
