A critically endangered tiger might have to be killed after a man reached through a chain-link fence Tuesday at the Great Plains Zoo and was bitten by the animal.

The Amur tiger, often called a Siberian tiger, is one of about 800 remaining worldwide and is at the Sioux Falls zoo as part of an international species survival program.

Yeah what an idiot. I mean come on... a rational man should know NOT TO PUT HIS FREAKIN HAND IN THE LION'S CAGE! It's his damn fault, not the tiger's.

At first, I thought the topic said "TigerU Bites, May have to he euthanized"

I say we're better off keeping the Tiger and getting rid of the idiot dumb enough to stick his hand in a tiger cage.

"When there is a bite by an animal other than a dog, cat or ferret, there are two options: test the animal (for rabies) or have the person take rabies shots," he said.

Rabies can be confirmed only in a laboratory, using brain tissue from a dead animal, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, so an animal must be killed before it can be tested.

See, the tiger wouldn't be put down because of it's actions.. but beause they would test for rabies... of course, I'd much rather see the person take the shots.. That'll teach him.

Hey this is an easy one. Let the dumbass take the shots. That way you don't have to kill a member of an endangered species and you don't have to worry about a stupid motherfucker dying of rabies. Like the article said the tiger hyas gotten all of his shots and is clean, why not let the dumb fuck take a few shots. Maybe he can spend that time in the doctors waiting room thinking about why he shouldn't stick his hand in a fucking tiger cage.
