I'm not complaining about them saying what i can and can't post...but seeing as they are having issues with people posting things such as www.goat.cx then I just suggested they have a TOS. But then you can't repremand someone for something they never agreed to do. Not to mention hell we might post a website just for shock value and it gets deleted...but yet we have a goatcx icon for the webchat?? Really makes me wonder.

This is because Alex is starting to understand what is keeping so many hundreds.. or even thousands of people away from his site. You can't expect a site to be successful if people come here only to find things such as links to porn, gross icons, gross chat, etc. I've been watching this site for about 5 months, and I noticed that it's basically the same group of people.
I think Alex wants more than just the "CORE" group. But he can't have that when they are being driven away by vulgarity and pornographic images. It's not even normal porn. It's gross and twisted.
The goatse image that is commonly used in the chat is also a problem. Most of the new members have to take a few minutes to figure out exactly what it is, and then once they do, they may laugh, but are probably wondering what kind of site this is and what it's about.
The best way to moderate the porn is to just get rid of it completely.
And if people don't respect that request, then it's time to start banning some IPs

Dude. Goatse, Tubgirl, and all the others have been floating around message boards FOREVER. Not to mention, all boards have flaming.

My 2 cents:
I agree with Bishop... i've seen other message boards where goatse and all the other fun gross things like that are posted multiple times. In fact, i would consider this forum much calmer and cleaner than most I've seen.
My only issue with the link was that there was no work warning. I have no problem with links like that being posted, but please be respectful to those who are at work. I'm sure if my boss walked by while that was up I would no longer have a job.
Also, I don't think people leave this site because of the so called "pornographic images" that you claim are on this site. I think they don't stay because they see that there aren't a whole lot of people on. But you can't deny this site continues to grow... no one said it could happen over night.

LSUgroovy - The "I don't give a fuck and I'm not sorry" is just a general comment on your attitude toward most requests made of you.
Moving on....
Not that this hasn't dawned on everyone here. But I can't stress enough the local nature of this website and how hard it is to create something this local. I'm just trying to figure out what I haven't done promotionally sofar. Most people at LSU have name recognition of the site.
As a funny side story I was talking to a person at the Union Newstand and they claimed not to have heard of the site.. and said that they read the chalk (sidewalk chalk) Well apparently not.... Two ladies on the custodial staff came up to buy something and she asked them about the site and they said they HAD heard of it... something about something dangling from the dalrymple overpass. I dunno what that means -wink-.
I'm about to go after the greeks methinks.
Any suggestions how?
