Today was my first day back at work after my vacation.
At 8:30am I got a call from my boss to come over to his office, and he handed me a memo, this is how it began:
February 9, 2005
To: George E. Weathers, Jr.
Re: Job Elimination
My last day will be April 30, 2005. If I stay till then i will get 9 weeks severance pay, plus my vacation pay.
I don't think I will make it that long, as I tentatively have an interview next week.

Do you have a 401(k)? If so, make sure you're fully vested before you leave. Good luck on the next interview!

That sucks Sunny.. never a good surprise to find.. but at least they are giving you some time.. and you arent' finding out 3 days before it would happen

Fuck that dude I'd hang around and get the fucking money first of all. 9 weeks pay! Even at a McJob thats a good bit of change, plus the vacation. Look at this way though, now you can devote more time to comedy.
