I haven't been here in a while and I must say that I find this new look plagued with problems.
1 The scroll bar keeps hanging and giving multiple draged images.
2 The navigation is is not better on the side.
3 Why aren't the LSU colors!!!!!!!!! Blue?!? That HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH LSU.
4 You make small adjustments over time. Not reorganize the whole company over night.
[color=blue] [/color]5 Blue back ground with blue optional text hard to read.
[color=#444444] [/color]6 The option to change text colors doesn't work!!!!

I so agree with the blue thing. Why blue? Hello, purple and gold?!?! Also, its WAY to slow and draggy...its wierd

The school's colors aren't p&g. The athletic dept's colors are.
The school's official colors traditionally have been blue and white.

The school colors are purple and gold now...

It's a website and it's not that drastically different, and not the end of the world.. suck it up.
To throw a complaint in just for fun though... I don't like the font of "tigeru" at the top.
...and on a slightly unrelated note... I remember seeing other "Tiger" things that were blue and white around Baton Rouge (like the Tiger Mart at gas stations and whatnot).. in fact, I don't remember seeing anything purple and gold except for bumper stickers and sweatshirts... hmmmmm.. I vaguely remember Alex saying something about some kind of legal issue with using purple and gold...

Most people, including myself, associate LSU with purple and gold.

From LSU's web site: According to "The L Book," the LSU Student Handbook, the University's colors were originally supposed to be blue and white.
However, several players decided to enhance the importance of the team's first football game when the Fightin' Tigers went to New Orleans to take on Tulane University.
Professor and Head Coach Charles Coates, along with quarterback Ruffin Pleasant, went in search of ribbons to decorate the locker room.
Since it was nearing Mardi Gras, the colors green, purple and gold were abundant in the city.
The store they visited had not yet received its shipment of green streamers, so Coates and Pleasant bought out the store's entire supply of purple and gold ribbons.
They returned to the stadium, dressed up the locker room with the selected colors and purple and gold promptly became the colors of the LSU Fightin' Tigers."
"On Nov. 25, 1893, LSU began playing football. Its first game was against Tulane, LSU's biggest rival, . Legend has it that LSU's flambouent and distinctive purple and gold colors were adopted prior to that game. Colonel David Boyd, LSU's second president, selected blue and white as the school colors. Tiger Mart an Exxon/Esso (and Mobil) thing. But in BR and a few other places they use a 'yellow' tiger, and not the white. Mobil is normaly blue and white. (or/ w/ red)

Let me ask you this: Are you getting what you paid for? I'd say you're not.. Because you're paying nothing.. and getting a lot more than nothing out of it.

Others have addressed that blue and white does have something to do with LSU, but the choice of those colors are purely coincidental.. We've used Blue and White in the past (back with LSUchat.com)
The buildings on campus are grey and brown and "offwhite" etc .. The streets are black or grey (depending on the surface) ...
I used a pre-made template for the site.. I have ALWAYS used a pre-made template for this site.. Why? Because it's less time consuming. When this site pays for my time, I'll put more time into it.. I may take the current theme and rework the colors, but don't expect it any time soon.
Then there's the legal issue.. There might be some copyright issues with using Purple and Gold on a "Tigers" website..

Works fine for me.. You have to put your colored text between the (color=whatever) and (/color) tags (except with [] and not () )

I'm not sure what the hell all that means.. I'm assuming you mean the text size.. Whenever I get around to recoloring the site (*IF* I recolor it) I'll mess with the font sizes too.

Well, if we all took that attitude, we'd still be wearing loincloths and living in caves.
Not too bad though, it went a couple days before the first major complaint ... Usually we get the first with within 18 hours.

happens to me too. but its not the new sites fault, it happend with the old set up.
I think it is related to the Instant Messenger / chat window refreshing.

I haven't found another site that offers as much entertainment. It does have a few problems but I'm sure those will be worked out in a short while. Also...does it really matter if it's purple and gold?
