He wants to draw more of the music industry to Louisiana. Landrieu says he wants to help Louisiana regain its rightful status as the music capital of the world. |

Jazz, commonly referred to as "America's Classical Music," came from New Orleans, and New Orleans is the only city that has at one time been the major hub for each of the jazz, blues, and rock musics. Louisiana is also the most unique of the lower 48, which I guess is a *stretch* musical quality.
Just trying to back up the claim, that's all.

wow, first we start pulling every movie here, and now we want all the music too? I think we've proved to everyone that we have electricity.
i think it's really NEATO for the state though that they have brought in all the new movies. Especially since I just got my check for being in one of them

Ok, let's see. If I were to go anywhere and say music capital of the world I seriously doubt anyone would think about Louisiana. Ok thats it.

Seriously though, this is just another Baton Rouge ploy to become Austin. Austin has taken country from Nashville and college rock from Athens. LA has a more diverse musical history than does TX, and I think it would be great if any of these pipe dreams could come true.
Step #1: Start a band with me as the lead singer. Who's in? I've got songs. One word: Sherman.
Step #2: Be inducted into the RnR hall of fame.
Step #3: Die a legend.

Thats a good idea Adam. I already like drugs and drinking so we would definitely not have a problem living the rock'n'roll lifestyle. Only one problem, I have no musical abilities. That may not be a problem though, afterall lip-syncing is perfectly acceptable these days.
