I'm trying to figure out why being a slaveowner in a completely different era of history automatically makes someone an asshole. Because living under the premise that All Men Are Created Equal and owning slaves is inherently hypocritical. Yeah you are talking in the present tense when this discussion takes place in the past tense. You have a serious problem with people in the past that owned slaves yet you have no problem with Africans that used them as slaves and others who sold them into slavery. And the irony of all of this is that you also have a problem with hypocrites. GFY
