Adams is an all-American songwriter in the way that Neil Young was in the 70’s. Who could forget his tribute to New York City and its video filmed just weeks before 9/11?
“New York New York” brought Adams national fame and the remaining tracks from Gold gave him a songwriter’s notoriety. Cold Roses is a tribute to 70’s honkey tonk rock clad with dreamy steel guitar melodies and nasal love songs. The two-disc album radiates Adams’ talent at penning heartfelt tunes.
