By Amy DunnReligion and homosexuality are often topics of debate, but mixing the two together can have explosive consequences. I am pretty sure we all know this, but did you know that some Christians think homosexuality can be “cured” through prayer? Or is it humiliation?
A group of strong-willed Christians and secular therapists have made themselves seem a tad bit ridiculous once again. This group claims to be able to make homosexuals convert to heterosexuality with their religious-based therapy program. I’m not against Christians or therapy, but the idea of a Christian-based therapy program to change a person’s sexual orientation seems a bit extreme to me.
The group claims to have proof of their conversion successes. This makes one wonder if this could actually be possible. Many logical people tend to strike the idea down—including myself. If it was as easy as prayer, I think we may have quite a large number of homosexuals praying for widespread acceptance. It doesn’t even shock me that this so-called converted soul is part of a Florida Pentecostal group. A group I deem “Christian Crazies” who faint at the touch of a preacher.
