Hey all,
I'm arriving in BR on August 9th, and will be living off campus. My parents have said they'd lend me the money to buy a cheap house when they move. But that wont be for another couple of months. Are there any short term apartment places near campus that will let you rent for a month by month basis?
A friend of mine said Campus View are doing just that, but I can't find any contact information for a 'campus view' anywhere in BR. Have they changed their name or something?

I know that New Richmond Place Apartments also has rented by the month in the past, but they are located a little further from LSU--that is, if you don't mind taking a bus or riding a bike down the trail on the Mississippi River levee to get to campus for the few weeks that you would live those apartments. "New Richmond" is what the British used to call Baton Rouge when they ruled the city back in the 1700's...and, yes, a large British flag flies in front of the apartment complex...

Ah, now I see why Campus/College View are doing month by month. How far off is the demolition now? That number just goes to an answerphone giving a number for the new management that would appear to possibly be wrong.
And New Richmond is a little far off for me. Plus I'd be really embarrassed to live somewhere with a Union Jack out front. Unless, you know, it was one I'd put up.
