hey and stuff. i'm new. i make music in my spare time (drum machines and synths). if any of you are musicians also and would be interested in maybe working on some projects drop me a pm or something. working on getting a drum set in the near future also.

well i'm far from a professional, but i do spend a lot of time pondering and experimenting.. im more rhythm oriented, so if there was someone who had some nice riff ideas or something, i got a modest home studio i'm building and could get some decent quality stuff done with what i got.

got samplers, computers, beats, and sounds.. just need a plan and some extra creative input i guess. i still don't have any mics but then again, i haven't had much need for one.
i started off with making "techno" stuff because i used to mix records (i still can but... kinda boring) but honestly, it's just not my thing i guess. i really think some industrial/rock stuff would be more to my flavor. i can do hip hop stuff too, provided someone had some nice raps. but i'm not really interested in that "industry" as a whole. trying to do something a little more out of the norm.
i dunno. i been kinda in a directional slump and i am trying to find something that "works." but if all else fails i'll just try to get better on drums once i get them and look for a band that needs a drummer, then hopefully the other things i can bring to the table could be incorporated. something along the lines of nin/m.manson type stuff would be the music flavor i'm kinda after. (ie: distorted/effected drums/guitars, distinctive sounding stuff)

1) yes, perhaps you fail to realize that this is a free country.. and most message boards are FREE. nearly anyone and everyone with the desire for it can pull it off on their own.
2) is this supposed to be the only lsu tiger message board? are you official or something?
3) my users requested that i keep my forums running because they appreciate the no ads/no overbearing rules atmosphere. and we most all happen to be pretty good friends in real life.
it's been there for about a year and a half, i just recently reinstalled it because drama got out of hand. so whatever, clowns. at least we are a community of people who aspire to do more with ourselves than just trying to be some frat boy wanna be's.

i support things i am involved with. my site is an attempt to support a music culture that i've grown up with. it's a mere shadow (the culture) of it's former self, and a serious stray from it's once admired potentials, but it's still something that i do because i feel i owe it to other people and to the gratitude i feel towards my own history of it.
i offer original artists with original music a spot to host their works for free. all on my dime. for some people, that's a big help because not all music artists are message board/internet junkies. in turn, i hope to gain knowledge from others who may be on another level than i am currently. without discussions and collaborations, that's kinda impossible to do.
anyway, i'm not trying to "steal" people from other boards. i am not looking for lots of traffic just for the sake of it. i'm seeking out other 'like minded individuals' who might be interested in collaborating thoughts with others who share their art. maybe it'll spark someone's interest enough to try something new that they might be rather good with.
i ran off all the unfunny-sarcasm-jokes-all-day people because it's not productive.
