I think a lot of brides forget that a wedding is ONE day. People spend months and thousands of dollars preparing for this brief moment in life. Today, the average wedding costs $22,000. And, while couples are waiting longer and longer to make the plunge (usually between 25 and 27), they aren’t getting their parents to foot the bill. More than three fourths of American weddings are financed by the bride and the groom.
