Just the other day I was browsing the Internet and found an article by a Texas A&M student named Matt Rigney, who laughed at the recent violations taking place at his university. The piece went on to mention how five football players were arrested at the university over only a four month period during the off season and how “they represent the University as players of a game, something that has little importance in an academic setting.”

What planet is this kid from? When you look at a football player fully dressed out, what else do you see except the giant LSU capital letters written across both sides of his helmet. The same goes for basketball, baseball and every other sport at LSU.

To me, if you wear the letters LSU across your chest or helmet for an athletic event, you are representing the university (what do you think the U stands for?). Also, if you wear those letters and are participating in an athletic event, 100 times out of 100 you are also a student who attends the university.
