well first, whenever you decide to do something that will affect millions of lives...you should put some thought into it before you do it. Hmm, lets start a war...oh the UN wants to make a suggestion? Fuck you UN, we are the United States of God Damn America, and we will do whateverthefuck we damn well please.
Hmm, should I pick someone for a postion now, or wait until legislature gets back so they can nominate someone and do it the right way. Lets do it in the middle of the night when nobody is looking.
When you think a country has WMD's, and other countries are telling you..um, i dont think so...how about you stop and consider what other people have to say.
Thats my solution. Before you stick hundreds of thousands of soldiers overseas, stop and consider what other people have to say....
I never said Kerry would have done anything better, but damn, at least he can admit he was wrong.

YEah, I agree. It's not like B didn't have advisors or anything. Or a cabinet full of people from various intelligence sources giving him intel. Or polls detailing what people were thinking (to an extent). Or access to knowledge and plans that we still have yet to see because we don't have the clearance. I mean, come on, it's not as if you weren't there at all during any of these things, because obviously you were sitting right next to the guy listening in to everything he heard, thereby giving you the right to summarily dismiss all of his decisions, right?
*reads a few posts up* Sounds like someone's relying upon his Dr. Phil braceletttttt...
TigerU, how I've missed thee!

but damn, that cabinet of his, and those advisors.....
lets go over some of the info they have gotten and given...
1) WMD....they are ALLLLLL over the place.....hell, you can buy them at the Baghdad Wal-Mart, and you can get a WMD with your jihad meal at the Burger King in Basrah.
2) 9/11....didn't those overpaid jackholes get some information about 9/11 before it happened? Something like...a memo that said PLANES ARE GOING TO ATTACK FUCKING BUILDINGS? Hmm, from what I recall, and of course what Michael Moore tells me (since he is my ONLY source of information) Bush was on a vacation, just like he is right now.
You want solutions? How about READ THE FUCKING MEMO! and if you are too fucking stupid to learn how to read it, HAVE SOMEONE READ IT FOR YOU.

I think Bob Herbert has a pretty good point here in the New York Post...
George W. Bush has no strategy, no real plan, for winning the war in Iraq. So we're stuck in a murderous quagmire without even the suggestion of an end in sight.
The administration has never been straight with the public about the war, and there's no reason to believe it will start being honest now. There is a desperate need for a serious national conversation about alternatives to the Bush approach in Iraq, which is tantamount to a permanent American military presence in that country.
The president, ensconced in a long vacation, exemplifies the vacuum of leadership on this crucial issue, which demands nothing less than the sustained attention of the wisest men and women the U.S. has to offer. They could be politicians, academics, civic or religious leaders, corporate executives - whoever. The longer they remain on the sidelines, the longer the carnage in Iraq will continue.
and no, i didnt get it from michael moores, website! I got it from Al Franken's
but he got it from the NY Times

on 9/11, over 3,000 people were killed in one day on American soil, and in an unrelated story, Saddam was a free man.
Now, a two-year war has killed less than 2,000 Americans (with no war-related incident on American soil), and in an unrelated story, Saddam is no longer a threat.
You're right. Fire Dubya. This improvement has got to stop!
WMD or not, Saddam is finished, and Iraq practices democracy. So far, success!

yes, reading is not a solution....what good can be done by reading? Have you ever tried it? It's great, you can learn so much.
Maybe thats the problem with republicans, they just can't fucking read. Bush never reads the memos, and he has admitted to only "reading the headlines" on articles. Sunny can't read when i've made my point numerous times that all i'm asking is that he read the memos from time to time.
maybe its all because of the "no child left behind" act...

How about something original?

"Thank God George W. Bush is President!" - Rudy Giuliani at the RNC. Why does no one criticize him for such a bold statement?

If terrorists hate freedom so much, why don't they attack Canada or Switzerland also?

They hate that we have so much money, not that we have so many rights, or else they would have bombed the Statue of Liberty or the Lincoln Memorial or Talladega Speedway.
