Did the people of New Orleans elect this guy as a joke. Maybe he was just really nervous because he is about to be the first person ever removed from office by an act of God. The guy is giving a speech this morning announcing the evacuation of New Orleans and he used the words or should i say sounds um and uh at least three times every sentence. He read the official part of the order as "in accordance with L-A rev stat" instead of pronouncing it louisiana revised statute. I'm not sure if that is the correct wording to use for those abbreviations but i am sure that pronouncing abbreviations as they are written is incorrect. When he pronounced the storm had been upgraded to a "cat 5" not a category 5 but a cat 5 i fell out laughing. I honestly beleive that the people of New Orleans were just drunk on election day and figured they could get a few years of laughs out of this guy. Oh well he's about to run completely out of a city to govern.

Ok dude...I would be saying uh too. You have a category 5 storm..worst in documented history possibly about to hit your city. I would be stuttering too...have some consideration over that matter. Oh yeh, I forgot, you are in Baton Rouge..you don't have to worry about losing your house in the next two days.

you're right i don't. it wasn't the stuttering that bothered me so much as it was his pronouncing abbreviations as they are written.

People on the weather channel are referring to it as "cat 4" and "cat 5" ... So that's common..
