So, I'm looking for a part-time job to work in the mornings while school is out. Gonna try Mcdonalds and such, but any Idea's would be great.
I live off Old Hammond Hwy near Flannery so any place you know of that's hiring in the morning let me know.
I have retail Exp. and I worked has a cna for awhile (never want to do that again).

I'm sure you can find something without having to work for mcdonald's especially if you have experience. I've seen more now hiring signs around the city in the last three months than at any point since I moved back down here four years ago.

^ laughter mixed with boos from studio audience.. but laughter though..
If you want to travel a bit you can fill out an app at Tinseltown theater and you'll probably get hired, b/c I'm putting my two weeks in pretty soon. $5.15 til first eval in 90 days if that sounds at all.. worth it..

Ironically going to work full time for KBR in Afghanistan as a Janitor pays more than double what an enlisted solder makes. Plus if you are out of country they pay for your room and board. Also once you get you “first contract” (you must work 1 year (330 work days) out of country (but you might get as many as 4 chances to come back to the states for training/time off) then it is really straight forward to pick up a rotation (like 28 days over Xmas or 3 months in summer).
Basically if you graduate high school, work a year for KBR in Kabul or Baghdad or something, you can save enough money (60K) to buy a modest new car and pay for 5 years tuition, room and board. (if you are going into a related field tuition reimbursement programs exist) If you have a hard time managing that cash its simple to sign up for a summer of work again, and throw another 15 grand in the bank.
It really not a bad deal.
