Post subject: stadium seating |
  |

Hi all,
I had a question about Tiger Stadium. I am coming down from Chicago and Big10 country to catch the game this weekend. Never been to the stadium. I have tickets from a friend who is an alum - section 406. Can anyone let me know if these tickets are close to the student section (cautiously optimistic).
Thanks,
John

Sorry no one responded before the game but I'll reply to this so anyone who finds this thread will know how to find out where their seats are in the stadium.
Here is a link to the stadium seeting chart.

When you click on a section number it'll show you an image of what the view will be from that section. (Pretty neat.)
I sat in 612 in the West Upper Deck this past saturday at the Virginia Tech game. The lousy part about sitting in the West Upper Deck is you can't hear the band play because they're below you. You end up hearing the end of the 1st down chant if you're lucky. So if you like hearing the band during the game, avoid sitting in the West Upper Deck.
In 406 you would have been pretty much right across from the Student Section which is in the North-West area of Tiger Stadium.
How'd you like the game John?

The game was absolutely fantastic. The only stadium that comes close to the atmosphere is penn state. But I still give the edge to LSU.
I've grown up on Big10 football (Michigan/PSU/Notre Dame...yes I consider them Big10) and nothing compared to the pregame and game atmosphere in baton rouge.
definitely want to go back again.
thanks for posting the snap shot.
Geaux Tigers!

Yeah, the Vtec people I ran across kept talking about how we're definitely doing things right as far as tailgating goes.
They just tailgate in the parking lot.
We blanket the entire campus.
I sat in the South Endzone Upperdeck for the Middle Tennessee Game.

I have mixed feelings about end zone seating depending on which direction your team is going on the field.
Any definite plans on when you'll be coming back to Baton Rouge?
