This issue of Clarence’s Lagniappe Email List features information on the Baton Rouge Mardi Gras 2008 parades, schedule, and routes.

is in Downtown Baton Rouge. www.kreweofjupiter.com

Sat Jan 19, 2008 at 7pm - The Baton Rouge Spanish Town Mardi Gras Ball
is open to the public. It will be held at 7pm at the Baton Rouge River Center (formally the Centroplex) in downtown Baton Rouge. www.spanishtownmardigras.com

Sat Feb 11??, 2008 at 2pm ?? - The Baton Rouge Krewe of Gus Young parade
is in North Baton Rouge. The third annual parade is at Winbourne Ave and Acadian Thruway. There is no website that I know of.

Fri Jan 25, 2008 at 7pm - The Baton Rouge Krewe of Artemis parade
is in Downtown Baton Rouge. www.louisianabirdwatching.com/krewe/

Sat Feb 18??, 2008 at noon - The Head of Island Krewe of Diversion boat parade
is in Head of Island (South of Baton Rouge). Parade route starts 1 mile east of Highway 16 Bridge on the Amite River and finishes at Hill Top Inn on Diversion Canal. There is no website that I know of.

Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 8:30am - The Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Mambo 10K Run
(this is not a parade, but it is a jogging and running event) is in Downtown Baton Rouge. www.mardigrasmambo10k.com

Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 12:30pm - The Krewe of St. Amant Boat Parade
is just south of Baton Rouge. www.kreweofstamant.com 2

Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 2pm - The Baton Rouge Krewe Mystique de la Capitale parade
is in Downtown Baton Rouge. www.krewemystique.com

Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 6:30pm - The Baton Rouge Krewe of Orion parade

Sun Jan 27 at 11am?? - The Addis Volunteer Fire Department Mardi Gras parade
is in Addis (across the river from Baton Rouge). www.westbatonrouge.net

Sun Jan 27, 2008 at 1pm - The Baton Rouge Mystic Krewe of Mutts parade
is in Downtown Baton Rouge. www.caaws.org

Fri Feb 1, 2008 at 7pm - The Baton Rouge Krewe of Southdowns parade
is in Baton Rouge in the Southdowns neighborhood. www.southdowns.org

Sat Feb 2, 2008 at noon - The Baton Rouge Spanish Town Parade
is in Downtown Baton Rouge. www.spanishtownmardigras.com

Sun Feb 3, 2008 at 1pm?? - The Port Allen Krewe of Oaks Parade
is in Port Allen (across the river from Baton Rouge). www.westbatonrouge.net

Sun Feb ??, 2008 at 3pm - The Port Allen Krewe of Touch of Class Civic and Social Club Parade
is in Port Allen (across the river from Baton Rouge). There is no web site that I know of.

Sat Jan 26, 2008 at 3pm?? - The Krewe of Denham Springs parade
is in Denham Springs (which is just east of Baton Rouge). There is no website. The parade route starts at Denham Springs High School on North Range Avenue and works its way south to Veterans Boulevard.

Tue Feb ??, 2008 at 2pm - The Mystic Krewe of Donaldsonville Parade
is in Donaldsonville (South of Baton Rouge). Starts at Loop 945, travels down Clinic Drive, Evangeline Drive, Highway 308, Vatican Drive, St. Patrick Street, Williams Street, Church Street, Clay Street and ends at the Lemann Center. There is no web site that I know of.

Tue Feb 5, 2008 at 11am - The New Roads Annual Community Center Carnival Club Parade
is in New Roads (West of Baton Rouge). The parade is at La. 1 and False River. Theme is "Legends of Motown." More than 30 floats and half a dozen high stepping marching bands and drill units. www.newroadsmardigras.com

Tue Feb. 5, 2008 at 1:30pm - The New Roads Lions Carnival Parade
is in New Roads (West of Baton Rouge). The parade will cruise to the theme "Television Classics" with 30 lavish floats, 10 marching bands, and plenty of throws. www.newroadsmardigras.com
