I have been writing this column for fun for the last few weeks and I have really enjoyed all the e-mails that you have sent and I thank you for them but I just received an e-mail that said a few things that bothered me. I will not point out names, phone numbers or what not. I just wanted to give my fellow Tigeru friends some advice. The e-mail said that one of the TigerU members has an STD. I just felt as if I should warn you. I feel like im being a mother now but please if you decide to have sex with any TigerU member PLEASE use protection!

That seems like something that is too personal for TigerU Gossip. Whoever the informer is should be ashamed of him/herself.

well whoever it is should tell anyone that theyve had sexual contact with about it so they can get checked/treated. and also the person who has it should tell anyone they intend to have sexual contact with about it. and lastly i wont be getting it from anyone here as per my rule to never date anyone on tigeru. (though if i were to make an exception to this rule i would expect said member to notify me.) sincerly Brtorgo clean as a whistle. 100% std free

I know the culprit is probably a girl and in that case she is probably a slut seeing's how she probably slept around with or tried to sleep with virtualy every person she has ever met. Whoever does have it should not intend to even have sexual contact until it is fully treated if treatable and should really re-evaluate their lifestyle to be more careful and have more concern for their lives as well as the lives of the people they are exposing this to. I don't think this was a topic that should have been left covered up. If someone on here has a VD and intends to have any kind of sexual contact with any person on tigerU, we do have a right to know about it. And for once brtorgo is right! Notify anyone and everyone you have had sexual contact with so they can get it treated! Just remember carelessness is Death's best friend.

The person who has it, I'm sure, certainly doesn't want this made public. However, I believe that it is relevant because those who do intend to have sex with said person have every right to know, in fact, must know. And not only that, everyone needs to be careful of this because stds are nothing to fool around with, especially if you don't know alot about your partner's sexual history. So this shouldn't just be a warning for the person who has the std, although that person needs to make sure they're extraordinarily careful from now on, but this also needs to be for EVERYONE who intends to have sex.

I, for one, don't intend on having sex with ANYONE on Tigeru.
However, telling everyone and their momma that some random TigerU member has an STD will do no one any good. We all already knew that people get and give STDs...you should already be careful WITHOUT prescient knowledge of someone else's sex life.

I agree. That person's personal health is their business and whomever they choose to share it with. They should undoubtedly tell whomever they choose to sleep with, and whomever else they told should have enough respect to know that this information shouldn't be told to one and all. Who are we to know if this information is even true, I've known people in the past to make things like this up to be a bitch. We should definately be careful with whomever we decide to be intimate with, for every person who actually knows and tells people that they have anything there are at least 5 more people who either don't know or don't want to tell. I encourage everyone to be tested regularly, and make sure your doc knows what they're talking about. I made the mistake of going to Earl K Long and thinking the med students knew what they were talking about, and they scared me shitless. I got a second and third opinion and it gives me peace of mind to know I'm 100% clean. There is no excuse to not be tested if you are active, and they give out condoms at several government facilities so you have NO excuse but to wear one.
