Yet another misreading of what was said there.

Tell me something. Where are the weapons of mass destruction? Where is Saddam Hussein? Where is Tariq Aziz? Where is a government by Iraqis and for Iraqis? Where are the mere prepartions for such a government?

Today a report came out saying the Bushies are clueless as to how to prevent Iraq from becoming the second Shiite Islamic state.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A17886-2003Apr22.html

And as for your last bit of Hannity-ism. I'll say this for myself: the day Bush reduces the military budget to a sane level, prioritizes education, makes it so serious illness does not mean instant destitution, allows veterans the benefits to which they're entitled, pursues a foreign policy based on compassion and realism rather than rapine and the bulldozer, THEN I'll not only vote for him. I'll campaign for him actively.

Somehow I don't think he's interested in doing any of these things. So of course, I oppose him. Why wouldn't I? He's carrying out policies I believe are immoral and destructive.

Where are the weapons of mass destruction?
Well let’s see, we've found more than enough proof that they were in the process of building them. Scientists speaking out that they were being forced to develop them.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84892,00.html

Troops finding bins of atropine, gas masks, chemical suits, nerve agent antidotes, documents describing chemical warfare. Before the war even started Iraq admitted to the production of 3,859 tons of chemical weapons agents and 4 tons of nerve agents. Inspectors destroyed 116 tons of tabun and more than 1,000 tons of ingredients for brewing up the nerve gas.

So if all this isn’t enough proof for you that there either still is WMD or maybe it’s possible they didn’t have the technology yet to create them and we got to them early enough, either way we’ll find them or we’ve prevented them from being created.

Speaking of WMD’s looks like North Korea is ready to talk to us:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84881,00.html

Where is Saddam Hussein? Where is Tariq Aziz?

You tell me, where are the criminals in Louisiana alone that haven’t been found? My guess is Saddam and Tariq are either dead, or took off and are hiding in Syria or some other nearby country. If they are dead the chances of recovering the bodies are slim to none, or if they are hiding and being protected by other people we will find them, it takes time though. In only a month we’ve managed to capture most of his top officials:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84066,00.html

Bottom line the regime is over and if Saddam or anyone else were after shows their face again we will capture them.

Where is a government by Iraqis and for Iraqis? Where are the mere preparations for such a government?

Again, the fighting ended what two weeks ago? Were still having to weed out a few pockets of resistance. There is no point to rushing a new government in that will fail, and if we leave too quickly that’s exactly what will happen.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84743,00.html

But I assure you our government is trying it’s hardest to do what is best not only for Iraq, but for the rest of the world.
Proof:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84927,00.html

Quote:
Thousands of Shiite Muslims took advantage of their newfound freedom to hold a political protest Wednesday

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84907,00.html

Kathem Jasim Mohammed, a 50-year-old vendor, said:
Quote:
I want to thank Mr. Bush for breaking the prison in which Iraq was. I thank him for what he did and God bless him.

So yes the Shiite did protest but that doesn’t mean they are taking over the country. Did your protesting prevent the war? And why were they able to protest, oh yes, because they are now free to do so, two months ago they would have been killed in the streets.

As for Bush:

Are his policies perfect, of course not and I can’t argue that they are. Although I think were heading in the right direction. Were Clinton’s policies better or would Gore have changed them to make them perfect, definitely not. Clinton weakened our country by cutting military spending; we saw the results of that, 9-11. So if Bush feels it’s necessary to pump money into our military to rebuild then I support that and if he feels its necessary to continue to increase military spending to keep up our defenses and protect ourselves, again I’ll support that policy.

And I guess during a Democratic presidency education and health care are not problems? That’s ridiculous. Our health care system, along with welfare, education, and hundreds of other programs need to be reformed. Are these all Bush/Republican’s fault? If you think that these problems only started when he was elected then that’s crazy. If you think his plans to help fix the problems won’t work then that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion, but don’t try and make it sound like he’s responsible for the current state of education and other problems.

I happen to support the things he’s done so far and hope he does more.
High military budget, fine.
Prioritize education- depends on what you mean, should we put more money into education, yes, but how will it get spent and where will the money come from? How about we cut welfare and start making people work instead of sitting at home pumping out babies for a larger check, take all that money and put it into education. Let’s pay teachers more, but make the requirements to become a teacher much harder. I for one went through the public school system and maybe 5 of the 25 teachers I had deserves a raise, the rest don’t deserve a job.
Veterans get benefits and I support that, you make it sound like Bush has completely cut off all benefits.
And as for his foreign policy I’ll take a bulldozer approach over sitting back and doing nothing any day. We tried the diplomatic approach with Iraq, it failed. So we went in and took care of business. If other problems come up, sure we should try and be diplomatic, but if it fails we can’t just give up, we have to fight to protect ourselves.

So you don’t think he’s interested in improving this country? So then tell me, what is he interested in? Why is he the president? You may not agree with his policies but you can’t honestly say you don’t think his intentions are to better America. Right now he’s focused on protecting her so he can’t focus his full attention on the other problems, when he’s re-elected we’ll see how he handles them.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,85005,00.html

OH and also your Dixie Chicks had a Lipton tea commercial canceled, along with several stations in Texas refusing to play their music, but again their not feeling any effects from the comments.

I just wanted to point out two things. Masks are not weapons of mass destruction. And the Dixie Chicks have gone back to #1 on the Billboard Country charts.

Thanks for pointing that out to me, I had no clue what a gas mask was.

And yes, Dixie Chics are #1. In fact i'm sure there is a whole new audience supporting them now that they've spoken out. But you know as well as they do that a huge amount of their true fans no longer support them, especially in Texas.

I never did either. I liked looking at two of them for awhile, but the fat one ruined that. And that "Earl" song pissed me off. You know if a few dudes had a song about killing a woman the feminists would have been all over it. But because there a few Chicks it was cool.

They look neither fat nor apologetic in this Entertainment Weekly cover. I say, good on em. And I LIKE their music. Always did.

Well, I missed their interview because I was working (not collecting a welfare check). But from what I heard she stuck to her guns that she was against the war but did apologize to President Bush and said she didn't really feel that way. Doesn't matter, I'll never forget the comments and neither will the people of Texas.

That cover does not impress me. Getting naked and acting like sluts to win back some fan support? Maybe not apologetic, but using words like Saddam's Angles, traitors, and Dixie Sluts was just to get sympathy, the reality though is that is exactly what they are. The chubby one looked like she lost weight, I’ll admit that, I guess its just her face that still makes her look a little chunky when dressed. And I’m very disappointed by their cup sizes. I guess I never really got a good look at them.
I would have more respect for them if they never took back what they said, the way they've handled this whole deal just made them look worse (spineless/skanks) They might as well do playboy and totally sell out, try to make a few bucks before its too late.

Ahh but the real news of the day:
Former Iraqi Spy Chief Tariq Aziz Captured by U.S. Forces

I know that stings.
