With people like LSUDave posting wonderfully tasteful topics like "Who's slept with someone from tigerU" and "how many people have had a threesome" I think it's time I leave too.
Although I am a pervert, and I like to joke around, I do not condone airing people's sex lives, or constant sexual overtones to everything. I have seen far too much bullshit around here... people treating the girls like shit.. asking them for handjobs (my gf included), and generally giving this entire site a sleazy, unwelcoming feel to it.
I have to wholeheartedly agree with Rob's summation of what's happened to this place in his response to Aud's goodbye post. I'd love to stay around, but to tell y'all the truth, I don't like the way things are going, and I think that AWE made a huge mistake in letting some people assume roles they aren't cut out to fill... and by allowing the same people to degrade this place beyond what it normally is... and I really don't see any of this changing in the near future. I wish it could, but I don't see how.. with the present state of things.
I'm giving this place one week. After that, I'm done with this drama.. I got people's phone #'s.

I agree... This site was great when it started, and it started with the greatest of intentions, but its just gone completely downhill. Yes, sex is a part of most college student's lives, but it is not the center of most people's. I also whole-heartedly agree that it is wrong and immoral to air people's personal sex lives. This comes from people who have nothing better to do than be interested in how others conduct their sexual lives. It disturbs me how people on this site can't be respectful of others, its one thing to joke around but its another to completely downgrade another person and continually do it for no good reason other than that you don't like them.

Yeah... I agree with you guys! I haven't been around long.. but it didn't take reading more than 2 topics to find out that this website seems to be run by sex-deprived assholes. I feel bad for the many decent people on here who are having a good thing ruined!
Every topic is about sex. If someone tries to make any attempt at seriousness, the post is immediately either turned into a sex topic, or the person is torn apart because LSUDave and Cyber22 (among several others) seem to fear people actually having personalities or interests or IQs higher than them, and they have to tear them down. Try popping in an educational video instead of pornos all the time guys. And find something else to use your hand for. Seriously.
I thought y'all had a good thing going here with this website. It's a cool way to meet people on a large campus and just joke around or talk about issues. But no, as with almost every good thing, some dumbasses had to go mess it up for everyone else.

Im curious, everyone is so upset about sex and the sex topics, then why invent a forum for SEX topics. I dont mind differences of opions, but this thread doesnt even belong in this forum. All i ask are the questions, other people post the responses. Also why is sex bad, but pics of children and a nude burt reynalds funny.

Well, here's my feeble attempt to clear a few things up. Audrey, sex is not the center of my life. Music is. However, there aren't many musicians on here. Besides, one of the things I enjoy about this crowd is that they give me a break from constant discussions about music. I suspect that most members also have interests and hobbies that occupy much of their offline time. But, like me, they find themselves the sole representative of their field when online. My suggestion, then, is that sex gets discussed so much here because it is the one thing that everyone has in common. Sex is a significant part of everybody's life, regardless of their other hobbies. Just think how boring the site would be if people like me were posting polls like "In your opinion, did Zelenka ever achieve a mastery of contrapuntal techniques equal to that of J.S. Bach?" Wow, that thread would just take off! It confuses me why people who complain about sex posts constantly reply to them. That just keeps them on the front page. If you're not interested in a post, or if you consider it tasteless, ignore it.

I'm gonna have to agree with Andrew...in a sense.
But there are more topics, other than sex, that everyone has had some sort of interaction with. But these things, such as religion and politics, are automatically dismissed because we are to afraid to debate(i.e. most of us out there aren't interested in standing up for what we profess to be our beliefs). We are afraid of offending others with regard to these areas because society tells us it's bad.
Society also tells us it's good to be open with our sexuality.
Maybe something screwy's going on with society...

So because i ask sexual questions im an ass. Even though i dont know anyone on here, or their exploits. I ask a quetion and one person answered, now because of these posts im a bad guy. Wow, i thought i left HS 14yrs ago and anytime any one of u wants to have an intelligent conversation, then post it in one of the forums. Im posting sex in the sex forum where it belongs. I also like sports, but no one on here can probably play a sport let alone converse intelligently upon sports.

In a word--Yes. He said exactly what I was thinking. talking about sex is one thing, but asking each person about their experiences and airing their laundry for everyone to see is a different thing altogether. This place has gone to the dogs (and by dogs, I mean Cyber and LSUDave, because they seem to be running the place now). It just seems like a place where all of the horndogs come to solicit sex from girls who try to ignore their advances. You would think that would be easy, but when people make multiple names and harass you everytime you come on, it gets hard.
