Watermelon Margaritas

For a make-ahead tip, you can freeze the diced watermelon up to two weeks before the party. Place diced watermelon on a cookie sheet in the freezer for six hours or overnight. Store frozen cubes in a zip-top freezer bag until ready to use.

2 cups diced seeded watermelon, frozen
3/4 cup tequila
1/3 cup triple sec (orange-flavored liqueur)
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 cups crushed ice
Granulated sugar (optional)
Lime slices (optional)
Orange slices (optional)

Place frozen watermelon, tequila, triple sec, sugar, and lime juice in a blender; process until smooth. Add ice; process until smooth. Serve in glasses rimmed with sugar, and garnish with lime and orange slices, if desired.

Root beer:

Bottle of root beer extract
package of yeast
4-5 lbs of sugar
5 gal of water

put 2 cups of water in a pan and bring to a boil. Let it cool down to 100º and put in the package of yeast and a teaspoon of sugar (to help the medicine go down). Let sit for 10 minutes. If the yeast grows, then its good. Add the root beer extract and stir. Pour this into a 5 gallon bucket and add lukewarm water (100º) and the sugar. Stir well.

Here's the tricky part... I put it in 3 liter bottles, but some people actually put them in glass bottles. Air seal and let it sit for 24 hours to 2 weeks... depending on carbonation taste. After one day, test one bottle to see if carbonation is to your taste. Then refridgerate for 24 hours. After this time, shake for one to two minutes. Refridgerate again. Then it's yummy yummy non-alcoholic root beer!

Filtered Fresh Water:

Tap Water Faucet
Brita Water Pitcher (TM)
Glass or Cup

1. Purchase or borrow a water filtering device such as
a Brita Water Pitcher (TM)
2. Access the main tap water faucet in your kitchen or bathroom
3. Turn faucet knob in a counter-clockwise motion to release the water
(remember: righty-tighty, lefty-loosy)
4. Allow water to filter through the filtering device (refer to item #1)
5. When filtering is complete, obtain a glass or cup and pour
the water into it
6. Enjoy the Filtered Fresh Water
