The title really makes it seem like Franken is all about fair and balanced.... Rolling Eyes

You do realize that Al Franken is a HUMORIST right? He isn't meant to be taken seriously.

He politics are so whacked that when nobody would hire him to give his political opinions on the radio, he paid people to let him be on the air kinda like an infomercial. It lasted to less than a week before it was pulled off.

Speaking of people with comical viewpoints...

Michael Moore has just won top prize at the Cannes film festival (Cannes, not Canes). He should move to France, they are the only ones that like him.

Here's your problem: no one in our country needs to be considered an "enemy".

Far-left-leaning Franken is "fair and balanced"? Also, keep in mind that he is a comedian; his works are satirical.

Has anyone othe rthan myself noticed that John Kerry's campaign ads all point out his accomplishments and all of Bush's ads do nothing but try to make Kerry look bad.

Let's face it, Bush has done almost nothing wrong for Kerry to attack while Kerry has done LOTS of things wrong--giving Bush plenty of cannon fodder. I mean, Kerry practically admitted before a Congressional commitee in the early '70s taking part in war crimes while in Vietnam--how can anyone knock Bush's record during Vietnam or Iraq when Kerry himself has said such things?

Just my opinions...

Yep, Osama is a good friend of mine. In fact, he was hiding out in my closet for a few months immediately following 9-11. Wink

HELLO, PEOPLE!!! I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!!!!!! OK, I'll cut you all some slack, because you obviously aren't acquainted with my irreverently sarcastic sense of humor. Cool

Franken is a left leaning comic but in his book he simply points out all the lies and short comings of the Bush administration and his cheerleaders aka Fox News. Everything in his book that is serious and factual is backed up by footnotes and can be researched. Some things are made up and sarcastic but it is meant to be humorous and he clearly points that out. Anyone who has watched The O'lie ly Factor er sorry "The O'Reilly Factor can easily see that he is being truthful.

Ok, Royce...

Why don't you attack the argument instead of the man and his beliefs?

I can do the same to Kerry...after all, he takes Protestant communion and supposrts abortion, yet he's a catholic. Kerry is an amoral, lying, misleading, moron. He lied about his service in the military. He lied to the higher-ups so he could get more medals. He married a multi-billion dollar heiress...how's that for "power-hungry"? Look at the way he flips on all the issues...Clinton did the same thing. He just goes with what he thinks will get him the most votes, rather than actually pretending to have some balls and doing what he thinks RIGHT.

But fuck that...we're not here to talk about Kerry...

I just want to hear a thorough, rational, logical against Bush...good luck.

You might want to reconsider admitting that you have no reasoning for your egregious statements...saying that you didn't even bother to listen to the man speak certainly doesn't win you any points. How can you even be sure that you're right? What? Because you heard someone else say those things? Yeah, that's reliable.

Read the newspaper. Read something...anything...before you go foaming at the mouth again.

No Stacey I say that because of what I see every day in the news. I don't recall paying $1.80 for gas when Clinton was in office. I also don't recall Clinton lying about WMD's so that he could have his own little personal vendetta war, or should I call it a crusade like Bush did.

i dont recall paying 1.80 when his dad was president, or any during any other presidency....whats your point? its called price increases, they happen to every product. You used to be able to buy a coke and burger for 10 cents.

If you compare gas prices to the rate of inflation of EVERY OTHER PRODUCT, you would see that it is still well below what it would have been had it increased at that rate.

I do recall clinton ordering trumped up missle attacks on iraq, which every one on both sides agree were for the purpose of directing attention away from the coverage of Monica Lewinsky.

Bush acted based on the intelligence he had at the time which indicated WMDs. To put in perspective i have hidden a penny inside on Super Walmart on Siegen, go find it. If you can't does that mean its not there? or that there are so many places to hide it that you can't find it?

For the record from the time it was going to be either Bush or Gore in 2000 I supported Bush. I supported Bush when we invaded Afghanistan and I support the 'War on Terror'. I started losing faith in them after they had to "sell" a war in Iraq that was obviously unjustified based on the claims that were made. What really showed their intelligence however was the renaming of French Fries as a response to France's refusal to support the war. Anyone with an IQ over 15 and who knew anything about the economic or military situation of Iraq knew they even if they did have any WMD's (which has yet to be seen) they certainly didn't have a means to deliver them to American soil. Actually I could care less if we invaded Iraq or not but they didn't have to lie about it. How about the Bush admin. particularly John Ashcroft's justice dept. budget prior to Sept. 11 and Janet Reno's under Clinton. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F10C16FD39550C7B8EDDAB0894DA404482 It is now well known that certain people in the FBI were aware of and tried to warn others about al-Quaeda's plans to hijack airliners and use them as weapons. Of course Donald Rumsfeld was way more concerned with missile defense. Remember all those long range missiles that Iraq has to attack us with all those WMD's.

Let's not forget the real reason we invaded Iraq: Halliburton's profit. I know this is hard to believe but here ya go. http://www.house.gov/reform/min/pdfs/pdf_inves/pdf_admin_halliburton_contract_april_30_let.pdf

I will do some more research and post something when I find it. There is no shortage of material to rip Bush with or more specifically his cronies because let's face it Bush isn't smart enough to do this on his own.

I'm sure that if I had the resources of the United States Government this shouldn't be a problem. With all of our technology and spy networks we didn't know where the weapons were but we knew without a doubt that they were there? Hmmm

Sorry I forgot that the whole reason Clinton fought terrorism was so everyone would not be thinking about his horrific crime of getting a BJ.
If thats the case what about Bush's trumped up preemptive war and actual INVASION of Iraq? http://www.cnn.com/US/9808/20/us.strikes.01/

Of course no good Clinton rip would be complete without the old standby we've all heard a thousand times: "clinton bombed an aspirin factory"
Yes he did and here is a good article on that, it even supports the Bush admin. theory of the Iraq/al-Quaeda connection. http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/527uwabl.asp
