This wasn't the first time that Billy had discovered a severed head in the kitchen. What troubled him today, however, was that his mother's meatloaf tasted exceptionally rancid.
Every Sunday, Billy and his mother “invited” various friends and acquaintances to their hilltop mansion for dinner. Afterwards, Billy's mother would send him to the basement to perform on his pipe organ.
When he would came back upstairs, however, the guests had already “left.” Billy's mother would always explain that the neighbors “never really cared for Bach anyway,” or that “they always scream when you miss a note.”
So every Sunday, after dinner, for thirty-seven years, Billy played the pipe organ. Instead of applause, he received horrific screams; but it never really bothered Billy that he was the worst organ player in all of Ashton County. His mother's meatloaf always made him feel so good the next day.
