People are upset by the number of casualites in Iraq.

Here is a breakdown of the Civil War BY BATTLES.

The last battle listed is Antietam the bloodiest ONE DAY BATTLE in American History.

Source: http://www.nps.gov/anti/casualty.htm

At the bottom of the page is all the wars the US has been involved in.

So what's your point? We shouldn't be upset about people dying in Iraq because it's not a large number of them?

I have to agree with Courtney on that one Sunny. Plus it's not just the fact that soldiers are dying in Iraq, it's the reason they are there to begin with.

No.

I said it something to THINK about. The media reports every death like nobody has ever died in war. Comparatively speaking this has been an easy war. The percentage of casualties in this war is .035%.

Lets not even get into the reasons Royce.
When a dictator has killed Hudreds of Thousands of his own people then it is a valid war. And maybe you didn't see they found missiles with serin nerve gas, and they have also found ricin, one of the deadliest gases ever created.

As for those who will say its only a war for oil. Every war has some selfish interest. Germany NEVER attacked us. we could have gone after Japan only they attacked us. But we went after the germans to protect OUR economic relations in Europe.

You're right but that wasn't the reason we were given for invading to begin with.

You're right I didn't see that. btw Which comic book reported that story?

Here are a few "comic books" that reported the Sarin gas:

How many more would you like, Royce? I have yet to search the Marvel and DC Comics websites.

How about reading up on a topic before making a decision? Seems like the smart way to do things, if you ask me.

MSNBC wrote:
Field-test results could be in error
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the results were from a field test, which can be imperfect, and more analysis needed to be done. “We have to be careful,” he told an audience in Washington Monday afternoon.

Rumsfeld said it may take some time to determine precisely what the chemical was.

Translation: We really hope it's a chemical weapon then maybe just maybe we might not look like such idiots.

Even if insurgents are using chemical weapons it doesn't mean that Saddam Hussein had them. These guys are all coming in from all over the Middle East and other parts of the world. Who's to say they aren't bringing weapons from other countries. Even if Saddam Hussein did have large stockpiles of chemical weapons he had absolutely no way of delivering them to American targets i.e. long range missiles or long range bombers. Just face facts the discovery of one or two 20 year old artillery shells doesn't make the case for me.

Whether or not the Sarin gass finding was a cause for war is not what I was talking about.

I was showing you that you were wrong about no one reporting the finding. I don't give a flying fuck what the articles said outside of reporting that it happened.

Yes you do. You know you do...and you hate the fact that I pointed it out. Actually I missed it because I have been too busy with other matters this weekend and I've went back to reading in my spare time instead of watching news channels. Thanx for giving me something to work with.

I think it should be considered that we have lost considerably less people this Iraq than in all those battles, I think it is a very good point acutally. Russia during WW2 lost approxiately 9 million people, that is considrably more than Iraq.

Oh ya, thats true, I forgot to mention that I heard it on talk radio that we had found Bombs filled with Sarin. WMD's...EXCELLENT! I didn't even see the sarin reported on the liberal news stations, I guess they really do pick and choose what they WANT to report, I am sick of this censorship the media is doing. George W. Bush was giving a speech on the 4th of July and not one of the big four reported it.
