Jyric Sims, a senior at LSU, recently received the National College Brother of the Year Award from the national chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

This is the first time a member of the Nu Psi Chapter of this fraternity has received such a prestigious award based on leadership, scholarship, dedication and commitment.

As a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Sims was co-chairman of the Alpha week committee, chairman of the chapter’s Black History Month quiz bowl and the chapter’s director of education.
