This semester LSU saw the introduction of a new student organization whose mission is to go out and get tanked on the weekends. No, it’s not a new fraternity on campus. The Scuba Diving Club allows both experienced divers and those new to the sport the opportunity to educate one another and plan trips together. Next Thursday through Sunday new members will undergo an open water certification course where they will learn, among other things, how to handle an oxygen tank. The completion of this course will conclude just in time for those new to the sport to take their first dive over fall break. The Scuba Diving Club’s first organized outing will be to Panama City October 8- 10.
