Did anyone happen to see the sign in Allen Hall that said, "Have you been raped at Walk-On's lately"? My neighbor works there and he tore it down, but mother fucker that's funny, and sad at the same time.

I guess I don't get the context... did someone get raped over there or was that just commentary on their pricing?

yeah, during a party for the Dukes of Hazzard crew, a guy that worked on the movie invited some girls he met at Mellow Mushroom and then asked one of them to go into the bathroom with him. Supposedly, he didn't have a condom and the girls was like, "eh", but that wasn't enough for Rico Suave.

What a fucking idiot. Why not just get her back to your room and pick up some condoms on the way?
Note to self: Use the buddy system when going to the bathroom at Walk-on's

eh is not a no. you have to state clearly whether or not you want the cock. i think eh probably means go ahead just don't put it in my butt.

The article that appeared in the Advocate stated that the guy and girl left Walk-Ons, bought condoms then returned to the bathroom. Now the guy now stands accused of rape.
Smells fishy to me.

Does anyone know if the article about this is still available from the advocate?
If so post the link here.

'Dukes' party costs club fine, suspension
By SCOTT DYER and JOSH NOEL
Advocate staff writers
The East Baton Rouge Alcohol Beverage Control Board slapped a popular watering hole near LSU with a $1,055 fine Thursday and suspended its license for four days for hosting an after-hours party for "The Dukes of Hazzard" that included at least three underage drinkers.
The board's decision came despite a plea from Brandon Landry, one of the owners of Walk-Ons Bistreaux and Bar at 3838 Burbank Drive, who acknowledged that the publicity surrounding the incident has embarrassed him, his family and the 130 employees who work there.
Landry said he and his partner plan to close the establishment at midnight every night to avoid similar problems.
"We want to be known as a restaurant, not a bar that serves food," Landry said.
East Baton Rouge regulations require licensed bars to close at 2 a.m., and for everyone to leave the premises by 2:30 a.m. But ABC investigator Chris Cranford said police caught Walk-Ons illegally hosting an after-hours party on the premises that ran until 4:30 a.m. Jan. 19. Among the guests were three 18-year-old LSU students, who claimed they were invited to the party by associates of "Dukes of Hazzard" star Jessica Simpson, Cranford said.
Landry admitted that he opened the bar for the party, but denied that he had served the three female students. Landry said he allowed designated friends to go behind the bar and serve alcohol free of charge, even though they did not possess the appropriate permits.
"But you know they're not supposed to do that, right?" ABC Board member Scott Wilfong asked.
Another ABC Board member, Douglas Robbins, tried to persuade the board to fine Walk-Ons without suspending their license.
"I think he (Landry) just got a taste of Hollywood and made a mistake," Robbins said.
But Wilfong's motion to suspend Walk-Ons' license for four days passed by a 5-3 vote. Attorneys Tim Screen and Hillar Moore, who are representing Walk-Ons Bistreaux, said they intend to appeal the board's decision in district court. Moore said his client's cooperated with the investigation and would have paid the fine.
But he said the suspension was too harsh because it would force Walk-Ons to close for four days.
Walk-Ons opened in the fall 2003, but has been cited twice before in the past year, ABC investigator David Tetlow said. Walk-On's was cited in February 2004 for selling alcohol to underage patrons during an ABC undercover operation and in September for operating without a permit while hosting a "special event," Tetlow said. The restaurant was fined $150 for each infraction.
Meanwhile, Baton Rouge Police are continuing to investigate an alleged rape that occurred at a Walk-Ons restroom during the "Dukes of Hazzard" party. Baton Rouge Police have said the woman was raped at Walk-On's, 3838 Burbank Drive, after being invited to the "private party" by Gregory Witkowski, 25, about 2:30 a.m. Jan 19.
Witkowski is accused of raping the woman in the men's room of Walk-On's.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed in the case, the victim met Witkowski, 10731 Misty Hollow Ave., at another Burbank Drive restaurant, Mellow Mushroom, where he invited her and two friends to the party at Walk-On's. Mellow Mushroom owner David Bruno said actress Jessica Simpson and a small entourage -- "enough people to fit in an SUV comfortably" -- were in the restaurant that night and stayed until about 1:30 a.m. He said he did not know Witkowski or whether he had any role in Simpson's entourage.
The complainant told police she was intoxicated when she willingly went with Witkowski to the Walk-On's men's room, where they kissed and fondled each other. However, she told Witkowski she didn't want to have sex because he didn't have a condom, the affidavit says. She said Witkowski told her to get dressed, drove her to a store where he bought a condom, then took her back to the men's room at Walk-On's, where he began to kiss and fondle her.
She said she resisted, and he allegedly raped her without using a condom, according to the affidavit. Witkowski is accused of taking the woman to his vehicle and getting a black and silver pistol that he put in the back of his pants, the affidavit says. The woman, who was on a cell phone with a friend, screamed into the phone that Witkowski had a gun, the affidavit says.
When the friend arrived, Witkowski cursed at the woman and her friend, but let them leave, the affidavit says.
After making "conflicting statements" to police, Witkowski admitted having sex with the victim, but said the act was consensual, the affidavit says.
He also admitted having a Springfield .40-caliber gun in plain view in his car, but denied taking it out, the affidavit says.
Witkowski was booked into Parish Prison on a count of simple forcible rape, and posted a $20,000 bond the next day.

here's the article:
Walk-On's seems to think they're above the ABC laws
and the ordinance:
EBRP Wine Beer & Liquor Ordinance
unfortunately, some of the most relevant pages of the document [penalties begin on page 38] are not only at the very end but also upside-down - at least you've got a cue as to where to read!
by law:
1. a permit is required to stay open past 2:30am, & that still doesn't allow for any consumption of alcohol or even the free distribution of sealed containers on the premises
2. first-offense distribution to minors mandates a minimum 30-day suspension of liquor license & $250 fine; within 2 years, 2nd-offense carries a minimum 6-month suspension + $500 fine, & 3rd-offense is permanent revocation - in case of an exception, the "absolute minimum" (my term) is 10-day suspension
3. all alcohol must be removed from premises within 5 days of suspension or ABC is allowed to seize it
