Not being prepared is the number one mistake that recent college grads make when heading into their first few interviews, says Mary Belleau, associate director of Career Services.

“They don’t know the job—they don’t know enough about the job description to have an intelligent conversation about it,” Belleau said.

She also stressed the importance of writing a thank you card after the interview is over.

“So few do,” she said. “So it says so much when you do,”

Lucky for you not-so-experienced recent grads (or even grads-to-be), there is an abundance of advice out there.
