Post subject: Bar question... |
  |
|
Anyone recognize where this photograph was taken at? As y'all know, the movie that this shot was taken from ("The Dukes of Hazzard") was filmed in the Baton Rouge area, so I'm assuming that if this pic was taken in a real bar (and not a stage prop), it must be a local establishment that was used for "The Boar's Nest"...

crazy...thats the same picture I got from her autographed....
They had a place out in central that was like the main bar...can't remember what the place was called though.
It's definitely not walk-ons, because nobody is being raped in the background..

I've called on my share of bars (for advertising). That one doesn't ring a bell. Also, it looks too swanky to be in Central.

It's neither Georges nor is it in Baton Rouge.
I've actually been to that bar lol
It's out in the Hammond country around Ponchatoula. It is owned by a really old lady and this place is not that cool! As we walked out we noticed dead roaches on the floor yuck! I can't remember the name of the place though. It had lots of spanish matador artwork. 1 pool table and it's really dark and dank in the bar. Also the bartender doesn't know how to make any drinks other than beer and shots...
But yeah that's the bar! If I could only remember the name. For some reason I want to think it is called Rosa's or something of the sort.

I asked Justin Wilkewitz, who did some work with the movie, last night about it. He said that it was out near French Settlement (which isn't that far from Ponchatoula). I think he said the name of the place was something like Moonlights, or something to that effect.

Is there any reason why the forum moderators, site administrators, or whomever edited my original post so that it now actually includes the Daisy Duke photo itself and not just a link to it? I mean, do the words "copyright infringement" or "plaguerism" mean anything to you folks?
To the owners of the rights of the photo above: I had nothing to do with its re-posting of it onto this site. I only had a link to it. If you decide to pursue legal action, please prosecute AWE or BenKenobi, thanks. That is all...
